Hi, I am Megan Mead

I am a freelance photographer from Utica, NY. Although I’ve had a camera in my hands since the age of five, I officially started Megalinie Productions in 2010. I originally planned to go into video production—which I still partially offer as part of my services—but in 2012 I was gifted my first “big girl” camera, and it was fate.

I began by simply snapping photos of my friends, until they started reaching out to me for photoshoots. After my first “real” shoot, I absolutely fell in love with everything about photography. I loved making people feel good about themselves through pictures, and I loved the entire process—from shooting to editing. All these years later, I still get excited after every shoot and usually head straight home to begin editing almost immediately. It’s a passion that continues to burn very bright in me.

When it comes to my photography and reputation, I’m known for a few things. My photos are always eye-catching, with bold vibrance and contrast. I love capturing candid moments and showing people just how natural they can be. One of my favorite compliments is when clients tell me how comfortable I made them feel throughout the process. I know how difficult it can be to trust someone to capture you in a world full of insecurities, so I walk you through the entire experience step by step. I treat others the same way I would want to be treated.

And last but not least, I’m very well known for my fast turnaround time—especially when it comes to sneak peeks and delivering final photos.
